The vision of New Life Cathedral is to foster an environment where the agape love of God is demonstrated, to reach as many souls as possible both inside and outside of the body of Christ. To show love that ensures that every individual feels significant and empowered.
Our Goal
Our goal is to assist Christians in realizing their purpose and developing their gifts so that they are able to serve in the Kingdom of God with enthusiasm and with excellence. Our objective is to use the power of the Word of God to transform lives and renew minds in order that we may witness miracles, signs and wonders.
Shawn Braxton
Senior Pastor
Shawn Braxton, Senior Pastor of New Life Cathedral in the City of East Cleveland, works to ensure the church is actively involved in meeting the needs of its members and the community. Pastor Braxton was installed as Pastor of New Life Cathedral on January 10th, 2010. He led the congregation to purchase the current edifice one month after being installed as pastor. Upon moving into its’ current location, New Life Cathedral has become a life center through serving the community with child nutrition programming provided by the Women Infants and Children’s Program, Child Care provided by Children’s Choice Learning Center and substance abuse services provided by various Alcoholics Anonymous groups five nights per week.
Pastor Braxton is an educator and entrepreneur. He has worked in several school districts to meet the needs of our youth. Additionally, he has worked with several nationally based educational technology companies to develop products and services to meet the needs of our students from kindergarten to college. Pastor Braxton has worked professionally as a teacher, consultant, and college professor, and has worked with schools and educators throughout the United States.
Pastor Shawn Braxton is married to his beautiful wife of eighteen years Pastor Stacy Ward-Braxton and a father of four children. He is a graduate of the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, Central State University, and Cleveland State University. Pastor Braxton has dedicated his life to helping others and desires to serve his fellow man to the glory of God.
